Aluminum 6061-T6511 Alloy is that the least expensive and most versatile of the heat-treatable aluminum alloys. it's most of the great qualities of aluminum. It offers a variety of excellent mechanical properties and good corrosion resistance. It are often fabricated by most of the commonly used techniques. within the annealed condition it's good workability. within the T4 condition fairly severe forming operations could also be accomplished. the complete T6 properties could also be obtained by artificial aging. it's welded by all methods and may be furnace brazed. it's available within the clad form ("Alclad") with a skinny surface layer of high purity aluminum to enhance both appearance and corrosion resistance. Applications: This grade is employed for a good sort of products and applications from truck bodies and frames to screw machine parts and structural components. 6061 is employed where appearance and better corrosion resistance with good strength are required.
